Celebrating 40 Years of Serving the Yakima Community Black Angus Steakhouse Bucks Trend of Short-Lived Restaurants

Yakima, WA (April 2010) - While it's a rare thing for a restaurant to remain in business for more than 10 years, Black Angus Steakhouse in Yakima will mark its 40-year anniversary this April with a celebration thanking guests for their patronage April 7th through April 9th. District Manager Ron Englund started out as a busser in 1971 at the Yakima Black Angus Steakhouse shortly after it opened. According to Englund, "We are proud to be celebrating 40 years of serving the Yakima community. When we opened the Black Angus in Yakima it was the 9th restaurant in a young and growing chain. We were the restaurant closest to Stuart Anderson's famous Black Angus ranch and have always tried to live up to the great price, value, service and hospitality on which he founded the chain. We are proud to have shared in many weekday business lunches, countless family dinners, as well as special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, proms, and homecomings, and we look forward to continuing to be a part of many more memorable dining experiences and traditions for years to come. We greatly appreciate the loyalty and support of the Yakima Valley community."

To thank guests for contributing to 40 years of success in Yakima, Black Angus will offer its popular signature Slow Roasted Prime Rib & Mud Pie for $14.99 April 7th though April 9th. Additionally, Black Angus invites the Yakima community to join the celebration along with Black Angus team members at an anniversary party on April 8th from 4pm to 10pm featuring Happy Hour specials in the lounge. "We're excited about this celebration, " said Englund, "It's going to be a great party!"
